The Hollywood Reporter Ad & Press Release
26 September 2007
It's Been An Exciting Week!
The support, creativity and thoughtfulness of all the people who have contributed to this effort has been extraordinary. And I want to personally thank everyone for their help in getting us this far! You are all amazing and inspiring. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart. (Even if you were just here on orders from your bird.)
Before I dive into telling you all that's happened I want to talk to you about what is still to be done...
1. DIGG IT First, please go to the front page and click the "DIGG IT" button and follow any instructions. If we can get over 50 diggs in 24 hours we will be bumped to the front page of the Digg network which will get our message out to even more people.
2. TELL EVERYONE you can think of to call, write, post cards, mail or whatever and tell HBO that we want another season. This was the whole point of doing the ad was to tell HBO that there are many many people who want the show back. We will have their attention this weekend and now is the time to drive the point home. HBO contact information is on the bottom of this email.
3. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL MEDIA Make a copy of the press release and send or email to your local papers and media outlets and tell them your story about how JFC has effected you and why you want it back. Include anything that might positively attract attention... Like a picture of you in a monad t-shirt, or your monad jack-o-lantern (yes, there is a picture of it on the press page). Then follow-up with a phone call and tell them when you are available. The more people we can get to act to contact HBO the closer we are to another season of JOHN.
4. ALSO, if you are interviewed please reply to this email with the information. Send a link if it's online, or a copy of the text of an article or better yet a scanned version from print media. I want to put every one on the site to add credibility to the campaign.
