Hey,  :'( I felt I was accidentally transported to Arizona, being declared guilty until proven innocent! AND - I have a gut feeling that Waxon, who is vacationing as well, got his implants shorted too! We'll find out soon enough, after the holiday weekend.

Little Bristol, my town

My town goes WILD for the fourth! The parade will be tomorrow, and it will last at least 4 hours, maybe more!

Caught the parade of the ocean waves and at night fireworks above the harbor, accompanied by the sounding horns of dozens yachts. Truly the best of both worlds. Oh, yes, it's hot!

Electricity made us dependent. Ever tried to live without heat in winter? Or - internet, for more than a day - it's torture. How was your trip? I am still in Newport, swimming, didn't get a laryngitis like Captain, only a serious sunburn. I get it every year, never learn. :D

The wife and I each assumed the other would take a laptop - and neither of us did.  Have to admit - it was kind of nice.  (Blackberries helped, though!)

Good waves where we were - no oil - but the evidence was nearby - limited seafood  :'(

Its official - BP sucks worse than HBO (but that doesn't take HBO off the hook)
