A Man For All Seasons
Orson Welles, Vanessa Redgrave, all the actors I remember, must be time to watch it again.
Foxie, if you put the JFC site on bookmark and put a ^ in the box to stay signed "forever" when you log in, you'd not need to remember your password. (I forget them all immediately, so the advice is "based on true story" :D.)

Born Free
as free as the wind blows...
Running Free (1999)
The tale of the extraordinary life and times of Lucky, a horse that was born in captivity but achieves his dream of running free with the help of a stableboy.
We've got an "animal" sub-list going! ;D
Running Man
Loneliness Of A Long Distance Runner
Based on a story by Allan Sillitoe, who I love. His "A Start In Life" is a wonderful, fast and funny picaresque where the young protagonist goes from one hilarious escapade to another, managing to escape unscathed from any and all troubles. Didn't know Sillitoe also wrote few volumes of poetry and was an everyday smoker, having lived to the respectable age of 82 at that!

Harold and Maude (1971)
Is it cheating to use the "and"? :-\
:D :D :D :D
Don't think it's that bad. Besides "Harold and Maude" is a great movie, thank you!
Checked IMDB, surprise, there's "Harold" movie, about a bald guy, the catch is he is very young. :o
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
I laughed a lot. The sequence is much much worse.
White Palace (1990)
White Palace is a 1990 film starring Susan Sarandon and James Spader. It is a romantic drama about the unlikely relationship between a young middle class widower (Spader) who falls in love with a middle-aged working class waitress (Sarandon) in St. Louis, Missouri.
I love this movie! I watch it at least once a year.

Is real investigative journalism dead?
All the King's Men...
in answer to your question svennie: it was Eisenhower of all people who warned against the power structure of the "military-industrial complex" some one suggested in the 90s i think that the media should be added to that equation as well... unless its completel dumbed down to the lowest common denominator i don't think most people in the USA care... i saw a rather whimsical video where this Aussie news guy went around the US introducing himself as the the PM of Australia... nobody knew that the PM is a woman after all....
no one in the United States of America could name a country that started with the letter "U"... (think about it!)
one guy named the Axis of Evil as Mississippi and New Jersey something like that...
nobody knew what religion was worshipped in Israel or where the West Bank is... one guy said New York... yeah that was the West Bank Story...
one guy could not answer this question: who did America fight in the Viet Nam war?
he also had a map that showed Australia as North Korea and most Americans pointed to it and said, Yep drop an A bomb on that one.... OY!!
as a joke I asked some of the my co-workers these questions and with very few exceptions nobody could answer correctly... all but one got the "U" question right... however a few did answer Uganda, Urugway (sp) Ubekisthan (sp) so i'll give E of effort on that but only one guy was able to answer the United State of America... oh btw a few folks got mad at me for asking these questions!! :P
Children of Men
Little Children (2006)

ah what the hell,
Children of the Corn
a really horrible film actually!
Flower, "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow".
No limit to ignorance it seems. There is a good Green Day song on the subject, cruel though...
Green Day - American Idiot-Official Music Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg7YjwZzNz0&feature=related#)
"Little Children" is a wonderful film, I remember it very well. The screenplay is tight and very good.
"All the Invisible Children", seven shorts about children from different countries. Not very entertaining, some tragic stories.
The Invisible (2007)
THE INVISIBLE trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDB3Ha3vxyc#ws)

The Invisible Man -- 1933 with Claude Raines and Gloria Stuart
The Invisible Man: The drugs I took seemed to light up my brain. Suddenly I realized the power I held, the power to rule, to make the world grovel at my feet.
...yeah I had a few Saturday nights like that myself!! LOL! :P
Gloria Stuart of course played Old Rose in Titanic...
directed by James Whale of Frankenstein fame...

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZVjrvow1_A&has_verified=1#)
Thank you, Trishah, remember Halle Berry in "Monster Ball"? A vulnerable beauty, broken to pieces and still able to love, she was amazing. That nasal voice when she half talks half cries still sounds in my mind. Irrelevant to the thread though, sorry.
svennie, darling, nothing you say is irrelevant silly!! :-*
Back to our mutton, Flower. (Flatterer!)
"City of God", 2002. Brazilian movie, gang wars in Rio. I had it on Netflix, didn't get to watch.
City of Angels (1998)
In The Arms of The Angel (City of Angels music video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j42ApkIIdNc#)
You probably know that "City of Angels" is a remake of an absolute classic, Wim Wenders "Wings of Desire", a 1987 movie. Maybe someone saw it and would say a word or two?''

Here is a site dedicated to Wenders. http://www.wim-wenders.com/index.htm (http://www.wim-wenders.com/index.htm)
"Angels and Demons" with Tom Hanks as a super-linguist Robert Langdon, of "The Da Vinci Code" fame. Interesting cast with Ivan McGregor, must be some chases and scenes from Vatican city.
Angel Heart w/ Mickey Rourke and the little girl from the Cosby Show does a voodoo sacrifice strip tease! :P

Laurel, good to see you here. Hope all is well with you!
i protest vociferously! Savages does not seque from Wild Angels! play fair now! :'(
::) Um, the last post by you by GOSH, was Peter Fonda movie clip, and underneath, you had The Wild Angels.....
Soo, don't get your skirt in a wad , ol'- OSH!
Ha-ha, Flower, gotcha! Or -"what goes around" or.... whatever! Laurel, that was his "sneaky" (BRILLIANT) way to get you to post again, as we noticed you turned into a ghost, pardon, a guest.
"Savage County", a slasher coming out in two days, for the unimaginative youngsters.
Flower, Laurel used , "THE" in the sequence, that is a word, won't you agree?
8) Soo, I have been fooled. eh? Hahahaha.... hahaha! Well it's not the first time ::).hahahaha.... my bad or what?
" The Way We Were".... Babs and Redford...

"Savage County", a slasher coming out in two days, for the unimaginative youngsters.
Flower, Laurel used , "THE" in the sequence, that is a word, won't you agree?
Sven, it is "What goes around comes around" or in the biblical sense it is " You reap what you sew" and their is "Karma". I've experienced all.
I must be easy to figure out, if he could fool me w/ a measly movie title accusation. Who would care if I post or not? I rarely communicate with anyone here?
a ghost, hahahahahahahaha, tis' the time for spooks and spirits... EEwww a seance sounds fun, anybody want to talk to dead people.. hahahahaha
@ sven: all depends on what the meaning of the word the is!
okay maybe i'm stupid but here's the sequence of events: Wild Angels (and btw the title of movie IS Wild Angels not "The" Wild Angels!!) which was in response to Wild at Heart which I thought was pretty cool considering it featured Laura Dern's parents and the fact she was conceived during the filming... be that as it may... will all the Lucys on this board please 'splain how Savage Grace segues from Wild Angels.. I rest my case! :'(
Oh, man, what's the big deal, let's move on, it's not Olympic games, "Savages" is a good movie regardless and "Savage Grace" is good as well.
Are you playing or not?
Two options:
"3000 Miles to Graceland" (2001) with Costner, Slater as costumed robbers.
If you want to change direction, please do, what was the last title you consider legit - Wild Angels?
Where the Wild Things Are (2009)
Where The Wild Things Are [Music Video] - "Wake Up" by The Arcade Fire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAai9x-0BtA&feature=related#ws)
Like the song -"Wake Up" by "Arcade Fire"
Laurel, "A rose by any other name", etc. We all get to know the laws of cause and effect in our life, whatever we may call it doesn't make much difference.
"Savages" deals with a very painful subject, thank you for reminding about this good movie. Nobody wanted to trick you - just to get you back with us. I do think we care - for each other. Hope we'll celebrate Halloween here with you!
Where Were You when The Lights Went Out.. (1968)... :-\

Audrey Rose?
Educational, I didn't see "Audrey Rose" (don't like horror that much).
Flower, a choice for you.
"Rose Red" - based on Steven King novel or "Red Rose", UK movie about Robert Burns. Have no idea if any is good.
The White Rose (1982)
7.3 stars on IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084897/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084897/)
The White Ribbon--have u seen this one yet svennie?
No, Flower, I got about 300 movies in the queue on Netflix, the White Ribbon is somewhere there, I think.
