forgot to mention saw Hanna over the weekend Hanna being played by the girl from Lovely Bones whew! what a flick a 16 year old killing machine but done well.. it's all about revenge! man Cate Blanchette (one of my faves) is a real evil villian in this and made her look almost like a CIA Stepford Wife! I hope they come out with Hanna Part 2! I had to go do some pullups after i saw this! LOL!   :D

@skor: hang in there kid! you know we love you right? what's the weather like? go outside get some sunshine if any breathe take a walk... get moving!   :P

@sven: couldn't disagree with you more on Bridesmaids I LOVED IT! whenever i see "best comdy" "hilarious" etc on the cover i usually wind up sitting there stoned face for 90 mins... but not this time! c'mon the tennis match w/ AC/DC playing? the bathroom scene? the opening scenes at the bf's house? i guess i'm just easily amused! not to mention the two girls making out on the plane? this was like the female "Hangover"!! three thumbs up!!

also ya gotta watch 5-0 at least once... where else can you see a skinny asian chick take out a meth enraged biker bearing down on her at full speed on chopper with just a simple roundhouse kick dressed in nothing but a skimpy bikini???

@sven: very funny! no it took me alot longer than one day to lose that 7 lbs believe me! with the low functioning thyroid its even more of an uphill battle... once you see the flick you'll see what i mean... when the dad walks into the garage to confront the mechanic he's wearing at crew style black shirt w/ either a white or cream colored jacket but not Miami Vice style.... you'll see... c'mon Sven you're scaring me The Big Bang Theory and the show Mike & Molly... the actress who portrays Molly just won an Emmy for her performance and i hear she's an absolute riot in Bridesmaids... M&M Monday night at 930PM right before Hawaii 5-0... Big Bang thursday 8pm....

@Skor: ok now i got watch Brothers... of course now that it's October i'll be on a monster movie kick all month!

oh BTW i finally broke down at got The American with George Clooney... I don't see why this flick was considered a bomb? first of all its shot on location in Italy... beautiful country.... George plays it very cool and laid back... I guess Joe and Jane Six Pak didn't like it because there weren't any explosions only one car chase scene not too much shooting... and gee you might actually have to have a brain to follow the story line!! but in my own humble opinion this may be the reality of how an actual hired assassin might live

In A Better World was excellent... great flick! and as soon as I lose a few more pounds (lost seven per doctor yesteray) I'm stealing the main male character's look... white jacket with black crew shirt...

hey ya gotta see Hesher.. a very strange indie movie with Joseph Gordon What? from 3rd Rock, Natalie Portman, and Piper Laurie who is so old now i didn't even recognize her...

sorry its the playoffs now only time for Big Bang Mike & Molly that kind of thing... peace and stay free!

1500 bucks to talk to John Waters??? man the girls on the street don't even charge that much! LOL! it seems outrageous to me that in these difficult economic times these entertainers and celebs and sports players charge so much for so very little in return! and yet people flock to these events and shell out the cash like its going outta style! am i missing something? my big event for the year aside from visiting SF was the live concert in April with Steve Miller and Greg Allman... I toyed with the idea of seeing Huey Lewis but its an outdoor venue and it was like 116 degrees at the time... Al Pacino was in town giving a talk and the nose bleed seats were 75 bucks a pop while the good seats were up in the 150-200 range... really Al? Say hello to my little friend!!  :P

@skor: how was John Waters you never said??  :-*

RIP Cliff Robertson!  :(

Tenth Anniversary of 09/11: My people in NYC tell me its like deja vu all over again... armed soldiers with fully automatic weapons patrolling the streets... search checkpoints at the most sensitive areas and I wouldn't even think about flying out of NYC today! How do we put an end to the madness??? A few more years in Irag and we will have reached Viet Nam proportions... how long oh Lord how long?  :(

@skor: good for you! and i don't know if this qualifies as a hit or a miss but last week went to the doctor and he took blood to run some tests... the usual stuff... so Friday afternoon i go to pick up some scripts and instead of two scripts there are three... and i ask the pharmacist what this third one is and he looks at me like i'm a fucking idiot and says That's your thyroid medicine... oh really! first i heard of it... so i pays me money and gets on the customer service phone... it's 10 minutes of five on Friday and man i need to talk someone.. anyway long story short the nurse says, Well Mr Oceanflower your thyroid is failing... normal range in .035 to .040 and mine ticked in at .058... its a weird scale causer the higher the number the lower your thyroid is working.... which probably attributes to the fact that i've gained 15 lbs in the last six months, feel tired and sore most of the time... cranky and unable to concentrate properly which also might account for some of the stupid careless mistakes i've been making at work... at any rate i'm taking something called levothyroxin at a very low dosage 0.05 mgs... and this morning when i woke up i didn't feel like Dracula rising from his coffin.. and the beat goes on! what a drag it is getting old!   :P

hey is that Confucious or however you spell dat! Just as a quick aside... in the local Asian market here in NC i observed the stock guys stacking the shelves with these beautiful tins of all sizes... did a little investigating & inside the tins are what is called Moon Cakes.. some of the larger tins are like $30 a pop and upwards... the smaller ones like $16... yeah pricey... i think what you are really paying for is the ornately decorated tin... anyway come to find out that Sept 12 is the annual celebration of the Moon Goddess of Immortality and part of that celebration is eating Moon Cakes with tea of course! there are actually recipes for moon cakes online with one of the ingredients being "salted duck eggs"!! so do you salt the duck before it lays the eggs or what? LOL! anyway today is payday so i may spring for some of these moon cakes... the Chinese call this a "mid autumn celebration" but according to my round eye calendar its still summer right?? are the seasons reversed in Asia like Australia or what? for example there's a Spring festival at the end of the round eye calendar month of January and beginning of February... sheesh shoulda paid more attention in geography instead of trying to look up that cheerleader's mini skirt huh?   :-*
